ITANAGAR: No fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in Arunachal Pradesh in the past 24 hours. The total caseload stood at 16,830. With no person cured of the disease on Sunday, the total number of recoveries in the State stands at 16,767, said State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Lobsang Jampa.

As on date, the State has seven active COVID-19 cases, while 56 people have succumbed to the infection so far. The recovery rate has touched 99.62 per cent, while the positivity ratio stands at 0.04 per cent and the fatality rate at 0.33 per cent.

Altogether, 3,95,994 samples have been tested for COVID-19, including 199 on Sunday.The Capital Complex Region — comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas — has the highest number of active cases at two.

Meanwhile, 19,142 Health workers have received vaccine shots so far in the State. Meanwhile, seven persons reportedly developed after effects following immunization. The Health department has been carrying out the inoculation drive four days a week — Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, informed State Immunization Officer (SIO) Dimong Padung.

The State has received a total of 32,000 doses of Covishield vaccines from the Centre until now.
