PASIGHAT: Miss Lune 2022 Beauty Contest was conducted this year at Gidii Notko on Friday (September 9) after a hiatus of two years.
The whole journey resumed with a plethora of enthusiasm and with the hope to find new faces to represent Adi Arts & Culture and our age-old traditions by the Central Solung Festival Celebration Committee (CSFCC-2022) and Miss Lune Committee under Chairperson Miss Tokmem Mengu, also former Miss Lune 2019.
Nunung Apang was declared as Miss Lune 2022, Amoni Diru as 1st Runnerup and Mary Ngukir as 2nd Runner up.
The theme this year was also focused on the message to fight against drug abuse and urge the youth and people, in general, to refrain from drug abuse which leads to the catastrophic outcome for an individual and the society as a whole informed Miss Tokmem Mengu, Miss Lune Committee Chairperson.
Today Miss Lune 2022 and the Runner ups along with Chairperson Miss Lune Committee 2022 and former Miss Lune 2019, Tokmem visited the de-addiction centre at Pasighat and had a very positive and inspiring interaction with the inmates. Reigning Miss Adi Hanako Jamoh also joined the team.
