BORDUMSA: While the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi was virtually inaugurating 35 units of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) medical oxygen generation plant across 35 states and union territories under the PM Cares fund on Thursday, a similar plant was inaugurated here at Arunachal's Bordumsa in remote Changlang District the same day.

Bordumsa is the first in Changlang district to install and make the PSA oxygen plants functional in the said government set up giving the medical boosts amid the possibility of the third wave of the pandemic.

The plant installed in Bordumsa's Government institute (CHC) with a capacity of 100 litre per Minute was formally inaugurated here by local legislator Somlung Mossang amidst significant cheers in the presence of the government officials headed by ADC IAS Arjun Mohon and doctors and staff of the hospital. The plant supported by UNICEF and commissioned earlier in June 2021 is stated to be the first of its kind in the district which is connected directly to 15 beds, an emergency room, and the COVID ward at the CHC.

Meanwhile, appreciating the roles of the hospital staff during the COVID 19 pandemic, the MLA Somlung Mossang stressed upon the quality health care and exhibited hopes that the oxygen generator would definitely provide significant relief to combat the third wave of the COVID 19.

"With the active support and blessings of the Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Dy Chief Minister Chowna Mein there is a practical change in the State's health care system and what we need to do is to ensure timely and quality services to the people with the full dedication," said Mossang, adding, "I am always ready to dedicate whatever possible for the services of the hospital and allot resources any time for the holistic development." "I accord my gratefulness towards Changlang DC Devansh Yadav for his untiring efforts making the day possible to have the services today," said the MLA.

Meanwhile, participating jointly with the Changlang DC in a series of inauguration programmes earlier on Wednesday at Namleng village and Bordumsa township, the legislator reiterated that peace is the pre-requisite component of development. The visionary legislator during his speech after the inauguration of food and fruits processing units at remote Namleng Village briefed the people about the ongoing development projects across the constituency which he said was possible due to the balanced, unbiased, and generous allocations and distribution of the resources by the double-engine state government led by Khandu and Mein.

Similarly, inaugurating a NERCORMP funded oil extraction and processing unit at Bordumsa township the leader dwelling on the growing significance of women's active participation in local self-governance and management of domestic life said that the parents must remain vigilant and provide civic virtues to the children at the right earnest. He was expressing concern about the growing menace of drugs that have been crippling the youths in the society.
