ITANAGAR: The brewing tension with communal tone over the alleged comment of Capital SP against All Nyishi Students' Union (ANSU) have been resolved following a reconciliation meeting held at the Dorjee Khandu Convention Hall here on Thursday.

The reconciliation meeting was attended by Home Minister Bamang Felix, Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Mama Natung, Chayang-Tajo MLA Hayang Mangfi, members of the Nyishi Elite Society, Capital SP Jimmy Chiram and members of the ANSU.

Stating that the misconception and miscommunication between ANSU and the SP have been amicably resolved, the Home Minister informed that both parties have cleared all misunderstandings during the meeting and have resolved to work united to uplift the society.

Minister Natung on his part appreciated both ANSU and SP for amicably resolving the issue and urged all to work towards communal harmony and development of the State.

"Society or State will never go on the path of development if we start pointing against each other. We have more than 26 major tribes and hundreds of sub-tribes and if we want a peaceful, developed State then we have to understand each other and clear such misconceptions amicably," stated Natung.
