SAGALEE: Appealing to all sections of the society to shun 'money culture' especially during elections, Arunachal BJP president Biyuram Waghe said that such a trend has been affecting the mood of intelligent and wise voters in the State.

Addressing a mass rally of the party at Sagalee here, Waghe lauded those organizations that have been advocating for shunning of money culture especially during the poll time. He also welcomed the president of Arunachal Pradesh Mohila Congress (APMC) Nabam Yakum and 241 BJP supporters from different political parties to the BJP. "This is an achievement for the BJP; and an evidence that people from various political parties have faith on the BJP governments in the State and the Centre," he said, adding that soon many workers from different villages will also be joining the party.

Wahge further stated that the electorates of Leporiang and Sagalee Blocks will ensure the victory of BJP candidates in the ensuing Panchayat election. He also stressed that party tickets will be given to only such candidates who have winning prospects at the recommendation of the screening committee.

Earlier, several villagers and former panchayat leaders from various political parties from Leporiang joined the BJP under the leadership of Nabam Tagi in the presence of several top BJP leaders of the State and Papum Pare district.
