GOLAGHAT: The 142 Battalion, CRPF organized Civic Action Programme under the financial year 2019-20 at Sector ‘C’ Uriamghat and Sector ‘D’ Merapani DAB area on Wednesday and distributed water tank, solar lights for needy people in the border areas and medical equipment for local hospitals.
On the occasion, DS Bains, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Ops) Range, CRPF, Khakhati took part as chief guest. He was welcomed by Om Prakash, Commandant of 142 Bn. This was followed by various cultural programme on the occasion.
The DIGP, CRPF, Range Khatkhati appreciated the 142 Bn CRPF for continuously maintaining peace and tranquillity in the DAB area. “Besides their regular duty, organizing Civic Action Programme for the local people is a commendable effort towards a better atmosphere and a better society,” he added. Commandant Om Prakash informed that Civic Action Programme was an initiative to maintain cordial relations between locals and the men in uniform.
