15-day Swachhata Pakhawada campaign launched at Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: The 10 Assam Battalion launched a 15-day Swachhata Pakhawada campaign in Dibrugarh and various other areas under its jurisdiction in Tinsukia, Sivsagar and Charaideo districts on Sunday.

The campaign was officially launched with a brief inaugural ceremony at DHSK College which was presided over by Administrative Officer of 10 Assam Battalion NCC, Lieutenant Colonel RK Thapa as chief guest and attended by Dr. Narendra Mahela, Vice-Principal, faculty members, staff and 83 NCC Cadets of DHSK College.

In his inaugural speech, the chief guest gave an overview of the various activities to be undertaken during this fortnight-long cleanliness drive and exhorted all cadets to participate whole-heartedly. A two-hour-long ceremony followed, which included speeches by the Vice-Principal, other prominent speakers, and a cultural programme. On the conclusion of the inaugural ceremony, a cleanliness drive was launched by the NCC cadets in the college premises and the adjoining areas.
