TINSUKIA: The 164th birth anniversary of Sir JC Bose was observed at Mahakali Grant High School under the aegis of the Arya Bhatta Science Centre of Itakhuli block on Wednesday.
An awareness programme on basic science was organized which was organized by teacher Nipon Das, Pranjal Deka and others. Students from several nearby schools participated in the programme. Chaired by Swapna Deka Malakar, headmistress of Mahakali Grant High School, and moderated by Robin Kurmi, coordinator Arya Bhatta Science Centre of Itakhuli block, the speakers in the programme highlighted discovery of Sir JC Bose and its future prospective and later a science-based competition was held amongst the students.
