2 Dies of COVID in Tezpur on Thursday, 183 New Cases Detected

TEZPUR CORRESPONDENT: Two persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Sonitpur district on Thursday. They have been identified as Bina Rani Devi (70) of Kailash Nagar, Tezpur and Gopal Singha (65) of Borghat, Khalihamari, Tezpur who died at TMCH, taking the death toll to 28 in the district during the second wave of the pandemic.

On Thursday, 183 new fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in Sonitpur district, thereby increasing the total number of active cases in the district during the second wave to 1,468. The total number of COVID deaths in the district has increased to 48 since May of the last year till today.
