2 more die of COVID in Sonitpur district, 154 new cases reported

TEZPUR: Two persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Sonitpur district on Sunday. They have been identified as Phiprani Dewan (80), resident of Ghoramari, Chariduar and James Lama (58), resident of Kolibari Tezpur, who died at TMCH, taking the death toll to 158 in the district during the second wave of the pandemic. Altogether 5,017 tests were done across the district on Sunday out of which 4,757 were RAT and rest RT-PCR and among the new 154 positive cases found, 136 cases were from RAT and 18 from RT-PCR.
