3 Die of COVID in Sonitpur District On Sunday

TEZPUR: Three persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Sonitpur district on Sunday. They have been identified as Thogiram Sut (65), resident of Ganakchuburi, Bahbari, Sarumai Das (69), resident of Goroimari Tezpur and Mahmoni Hazarika (42), resident of Jyoti Nagar Tezpur who died at TMCH, taking the death toll to 67 in the district during the second wave of the pandemic.

Altogether 3,198 covid tests were done across the district on Sunday out of which 2,917 were RAT and rest RT-PCR and among the new 143 positive cases found, 135 cases were from RAT and 8 from RT-PCR.
