3 more die of COVID in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: Three persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Sonitpur district on Friday. They have been identified as Gopal Tati (69), resident of Chariduar, Jagannath Singh (81), resident of Parua, Tezpur and Jagat Chandra Das (24), resident of Mejengjuli, Missamari who died at TMCH, taking the death toll to 186 in the district during the second wave of the pandemic. Altogether 5,121 tests were done across the district on Friday out of which 4,767 were RAT and rest RT-PCR and among the new 172 positive cases found, 144 cases were from RAT and 28 from RT-PCR.
