31 Bn SSB Assam adopts Banthijhora as Model Defence Village

GOSSAIGAON: 31 Bn Sashastra Seema Bal Gosaigaon (Assam) has adopted Bangtijhora village as "Model Defence Village" under Gossaigaon Police Station in Kokrajhar district to stabilize the border population. A human and veterinary camp and also a plantation drive was organized in the village. Dr. TT Hatzaw(CMO) 31 Bn Sashastra Seema Bal Gosaigaon, Dr Ashiwini Kr. Singh, MO, 31 BN, Dr. Jayanta Deori, Comdt Vety, SHQ SSB Bongaigaon, Sh. L.N Singh , Dy. Comdt, 31 Bn and other officials of 31 Bn and beneficiaries of Janaligaon, Kusumbil & Bangtijhora villages were present.

Under this camp, a free medical check-ups and medicines were provided to 150 people as well as free medical check-up and medicines were provided to 615 animals. Sh LN Singh, Dy. Comdt, motivated the bordering villagers to be aware of health and education and also encouraged the youth specially girls to join CAPFs.
