371 widows given one-time financial assistance in Dhubri district

DHUBRI: Under Indira Miri Universal Widow Pension scheme, 371 widows of urban and rural areas of the Dhubri district were given a one-time financial assistance of Rs 25,000 at a function held in the Dhubri district Library Auditorium here on Tuesday. This one-time financial assistance given to the age group between 18-45 years, was distributed by Chief Executive Officer, Biswajit Goswami and Block Development Officers of the district present in the meeting.

Three selected widowers were given certificates of sanction letter while the money was transferred online to the bank accounts of the respective beneficiaries immediately during the ceremonial distribution.
