4 more die of COVID in Sonitpur district, 170 new cases detected

TEZPUR: Four persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the Sonitpur district on Sunday. They have been identified as Tridib Saikia (38) resident of Balipara; Rana Gowala (55) from Tezpur; Sanjib Roy from Singri TE; and Lakheswari Boro (48) from Bogapani.

The death toll in the district during the second wave of the pandemic has reached 136. Altogether 5,509 tests were done across the Sonitpur district on Sunday out of which 5,280 were RAT and the rest were RT-PCR. As many as 170 positive cases were detected.
