53rd annual conference of ABSU gets underway in Biswanath district

BISHWANATH CHARIALI: The 53rd annual conference of the All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) got underway on Friday at Mungkhlong Fwthar, Borpukhuri near Gohpur in Biswanath district with a three-day long programme. On Friday, the programme included a good number of inaugurations, delegate sitting, CWC meeting and cultural exchange programme. A host of dignitaries, including Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, State Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, eminent writer Yashi Dorjee Thongchi, among others, are likely to take part in the open session on January 31.
