A severe storm that swept away last night caused partial damage to the stage and main gate of the session venue though the session programmes were held on schedule.

The open meeting was held in the afternoon under the chairmanship of president of BSS Taren Boro. The open meeting was inaugurated by BTR Chief Pramod Boro. He spoke and said that the BSS has to give importance to the development of Bodo languages, literature, and culture. Everyone has to work together to solve the problems of the Bodo community. Recently, the language literature of the Bodo community has come a long way which has enabled many writers to get the Sahitya Akademi award.

The Sahitya Sabha has already been trying to work together for everyone, he said.

Pramod Boro also commented in his speech, "We have to work together to solve the problems of our nation."

He reiterated that if we want to take our literature and culture on the path of development, the Bodo language has to be introduced to the world wide. For that we have to be ready to sponsor.

In the context of the speech, he said that there is a good and bad talk among us about the BTR agreement. Now it has to be said that after the BTC agreement, its postmortem is, the BAC is also the postmortem hall and now the BTR agreement is also an analysis.

We have not been able to carry the children as much as we should have. Writers have to take them forward, Hazwari further said.

"The Bodo language, literature can be improved and Sahitya Sabha has to give an understanding in the field of language translation," he added. Rajya Sabha MP Bishwajit Daimary and former minister Thaneshwar Boro and other dignitaries also addressed the meeting. Earlier this morning, the flag of the BSS was hoisted by Bodo Sahitya Sabha president Toren Boro.

Addressing the people, Taren Boro said that the BSS has been taking special steps to make a comeback in the era of globalization and competition.
