AASCSU Golaghat district committee alleges anomalies in various schemes

GOLAGHAT: The All Assam Schedule Caste Students' Union (AASCSU), Golaghat district committee submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat on Saturday over a slew of demands. The organization demanded the DC Golaghat to enquire into the anomalies in the Attendance and Special Scholarship scheme of Golaghat District Education Office, and UJALA scheme under Athgaon Gram Panchayat. It urged the government to punish the persons who are involved in the corruption.

In the memorandum, the body also demanded an inquiry against a section of employees of the NRL who allegedly got job by producing fake SC certificates. The AASCSU has demanded to erect a statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar at the DC office campus and allot land to the body to construct office and hostel in Golaghat town.
