AASU to observe Silpi Divas at Doomdooma in Tinsukia district

DOOMDOOMA: All Assam Students' Union (AASU) will observe Silpi Divas centrally at Doomdooma in Tinsukia district on January 16 and January 17, 2022.

A decision to this effect was taken in a public meeting held at Doomdooma Town Field recently. The meeting, which was attended by student bodies of several ethnic groups, besides leading citizens of the locality, was presided over by AASU Tinsukia district committee president Raja Balimaora. AASU general secretary Sankor Jyoti Baruah addressed the gathering as guest of honour and emphasized proper documentation of the celebration of the day so as to leave a distinct mark in the cultural arena.

A reception committee was formed with Dr PJ Deka as president, Anuj Kalita and Nikhil Koch as working presidents, Binoy Dubey and Rana Sonar as joint secretaries, and Arup Jyoti Deka as treasurer.
