GUWAHATI: Assam Minister Ashok Singhal has reaffirmed the state’s commitment to fostering development, particularly for the youth, emphasizing Advantage Assam 2.0 as a pivotal event and game-changer for economic progress.

Speaking ahead of the summit, Singhal expressed confidence that the event would unlock new opportunities for investment, entrepreneurship, and job creation, paving the way for a peaceful and prosperous Assam.

He highlighted the summit’s focus on technology-driven growth and environmental sustainability, stating that the initiative would not only attract investors but also position Assam as a key hub for innovation and green infrastructure.

With major industrialists, global business leaders, and policymakers set to participate, the event is expected to facilitate strategic partnerships and accelerate Assam’s journey toward becoming a dynamic economic powerhouse.

Meanwhile, industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani announced investment plans of Rs. 50,000 crore each across various sectors in Assam on Tuesday. The announcements were made at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit in Guwahati, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier today, aims to bring together top industry leaders and international business delegations. 

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the summit was expected to attract investment proposals exceeding Rs 120 trillion, with several key memoranda of understanding (MoUs) to be signed over the two-day event.
