AGP holds Jatiya Aikya Convention at Dergaon

DERGAON: During the Jatiya Aikya Convention held at Dergaon, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) president Atul Bora said, "The alliance of Congress and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) will destroy the bright future of Assam. The AGP will stand as a blockade in this grand plan of the Congress and AIUDF. The people of Assam must come together and fight against such an alliance."

The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) on Wednesday organized their JatiyaAikya Convention at Dergaon. State Agriculture Minister and AGP president Atul Bora, while addressing thousands of supporters, also said, "AjitBhuyan climbed the ladder of success to become a RajyaSabha MP holding the hands of Congress and BadruddinAjmal. He is now trying to form his own party named GanaMorcha to save regionalism. People of Assam can easily understand what the grand alliance of Congress, AIUDF, CPI, CPM, CPI (ML) and other such parties will do to the State in the name of regionalism."

AGP president Atul Bora reiterated that a section was trying to destroy the party with various propaganda. He asked the party leaders and workers not be fooled by such propaganda. "We have to build Assam not by emotion, but by logic. With 35 years of experience of the party, we have to establish the independence of our nation."

The meeting was presided over by the executive president of the party, KeshabMahanta while MLA BhabenBharali, MLA RenupomaRajkhowa and other leaders were present.
