TEZPUR: The two-day-long All Assam Deputy Commissioner's conference concluded at Tezpur Convention Centre, Batamari under Tezpur Police station in Sonitpur district on Monday in presence of key ministers, DCs from all districts including Commissioners, Secretary, Chief Secretary and Senior officials of Assam.

The conference discussed the implementation of various schemes creating a development roadmap for the State. This is the second DC conference chaired by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, the first being held in Diphu in August 2021.

Talking to the media, the Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the developmental schemes of every department and important problems and issues related to health & education, agriculture, tourism of various districts of Assam were properly discussed.

The Chief Minister said, " I condemn Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for the protest with hundreds of workers and party leaders in Delhi. Today Enforcement Directorate has summoned Rahul Gandhi in connection with the National Herald case. Delhi High Court has taken cognizance of the financial irregularities in the profit sharing of the National Herald Newspaper and have directed ED to investigate the matter. Rahul Gandhi as a leader should have cooperated with the law enforcement agencies instead he tried to intimidate the agency by bringing his party workers to protest against the investigation but ED will not be intimidated. As a law abiding citizen Rahul Gandhi should have allowed to take its own course but by creating such drama Rahul Gandhi has tried to divert the attention of the court and law enforcement agencies."
