All Assam Karmachari Parishad distributed essential food items to needy farmer families of Jorhat

Jorhat: A team of former members of the All Assam Karmachari Parishad, led by Tanu Krishna Goswami along with Bijoy Mishra, Netro Saikia, Biren Saikia, Polash Bora, Abhijit Das, Bijit Saikia and Bipin Mahanta, extended a helping hand to 30 needy families of west Teok Gaon Panchayat under ward nos. 5 and 7 under Teok Revenue Circle.

The team distributed packets of essential commodities like rice, dal, oil, soap, soyabean, paneer, milk, potato, onion, flour, biscuits and cash Rs 500 as most families earn their livelihood though daily earning and some are vegetable vendors.

“These families are facing a lot of problems due to the lockdown and if we can be of any help to them it will be our pleasure,” said Tanu Krishna Goswami, the former president of All Assam Karmachari Parishad.
