TANGLA: The Udalguri regional unit of All Assam Student's Union (AASU) on Saturday presented 'Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Samannaya Bota' to an exponent of Xatriya culture, Gopal Krishna Ojah of Udalguri. The Bota carries a felicitation certificate, xarai, seleng, gamosa, japi and a memento which was presented at the event of the 11th death anniversary of the cultural icon.
A cultural event was also held on the occasion where local singers paid their heartfelt tributes to the legendary singing icon by singing his songs. The Bishnu Rabha Kristi Sangha of Udalguri town also organized a programme to this effect on Sunday where local singers enthralled with Bhupendra Sangeet.
