All Minority Students' Union burnt Mizoram CM's effigy in Jagiroad

JAGIROAD: The All Minority Students' Union (AMSU), Jagiroad unit on Wednesday burnt the effigy of Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga in protest against the killing of Assam Police personnel on July 26 along the Assam-Mizoram border.

The activists shouted slogans against the Mizoram Government and also slammed the Central Government. The AMSU demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident and compensation for the families of the slain police personnel. AMSU called upon the Assam Government to strongly counter any 'conspiracy' hatched by neighbouring States in future.
