ALMDB to Host Statewide Rabindra Nritya and Sangeet Contest for Tagore's 164th Birth Anniversary

DIBRUGARH: Assam Linguistics Minority Development Board (ALMDB) is set to organize a competition across Assam on Rabindra Nritya and Rabindra Sangeet on the occasion of the 164th Birth Anniversary of Rabindra Nath Tagore. The auditions for Dibrugarh will be held on April 19 and April 20 at Dibrugarh District Library Auditorium.

“We are expecting 500 participants in Dibrugarh for Rabindra Nritya and Rabindra Sangeet. Among them, 18 will be selected for Guwahati. The final round will be held on May 10 and 11. Today, a discussion was held for the smooth conduct of the Rabindra Nritya and Rabindra Sangeet,” said Mousumi Bagchi, Advisor of ALMDB.

She added, “We are positive and hopeful for the competition. We have invited singers and dancers to participate in the competition.”
