TINSUKIA: The 9th annual day programme of Gyangkush, a child welfare project for orphans and destitute children under Purbottar Vikash Parishad, was held at the institution's premises in Balupara Gaon Nokhrai in Borguri Tinsukia on Sunday in presence of well-wishers and leading citizens.
Established in the year 2014, the institution imparts regular curriculum from classes I-X under SEBA apart from running vocational training and other non-scholastic areas, said Sanjeeb Chetri, secretary PVP Tinsukia, adding further that presently the institution has accommodated 120 children from 7 districts of Assam and even Arunachal Pradesh. The day witnessed various cultural and other activities by the school children. Mukesh Kumar Agarwala, president of PVP Tinsukia, exhorted the generous citizens to extend support for the well-being of the children.
