
GUWAHATI: The notification for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2025 has been released by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) to recruit candidates for several civil service positions within the state.
The application process has started from March 5, 2025 and the last date for submission has been set for April 4, 2025. The preliminary examination will likely be held on June 2025.
APSC has said that there are approximately 800 to 1,000 vacancies across multiple departments this year, including the Administrative Services (ACS), Police Services (APS), Excise Department, and Revenue Department.
As far as the eligibility criteria is concerned, the candidates are required to be Indian citizens aged between 21 and 38 years as of January 1, 2025. The candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
According to government norms, age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories. Interested applicants can visit the official APSC website to apply online.
The application fee is Rs. 250 for general category candidates, Rs. 150 for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates while PwD candidates are exempted from it.
Candidates are advised to refer to the official APSC notification and regularly visit the commission’s website to get detailed information on the examination pattern, syllabus, and other updates.
