Aranya Suraksha Samiti, Asom asked to switch from plastic to paper bag

TANGLA: The Udalguri district chapter of Aranya Suraksha Samiti, Asom made a fervent appeal to all plastic and polythene bag manufacturing companies to convert their manufacturing machines into paper and cloth bag producing machines for the sake of their environment. This step would also help thousands of workers to retain their jobs.

A press communiqué of the nature organization issued by its secretary Rewati Raman Sapkota said that this suggestion of machine conversion had already been sent to the Ministry of Industries and Prime Minister Narendra Modi so that the government could take steps to prevent thousands of workers from becoming jobless.

The Udalguri district chapter of Aranya Suraksha Samiti, Asom also hailed the Union Government’s decision to make India a totally plastic-free nation and appealed to the government to suggest the plastic and polythene bag manufacturing industries to convert their machines to manufacture eco-friendly bio-degradable paper and cloth bags.
