 Army trains rural talents in Tamulpur to get admission in Sainik School, Goalpara

MANGALDAI: Tamulpur in Baksa district created history when two youths made their journey towards Sainik School, Goalpara with the aim to serve the nation. William Rabha, son of Ronoj Kumar Rabha of village Bareigaon, and Bhargava Kalita, son of Satya Nath Kalita of village Gandhibari, part of Tamulpur revenue circle, successfully qualified for the written exam and interview of All India Sainik School Competitive Exam, 2019-2020 and joined the school few days back.

“The Artillery Camp at Diglipara in Tamulpur helped us a lot in this tough journey of getting our sons selected for Sainik School. Without our ‘Brothers in Olive Green’ we would have never thought of shaping our sons towards a prosperous future in such a manner. It is like a dream come true,” said Anjali Rabha and Monika Kalita, proud mothers of both the aspirants.

The Artillery Camp at Diglipara under Red Horns Division had played a pivotal role in selecting the right candidates from various schools and had also guided them in online registration, written examination, interview and medical examination of Sainik School. ‘The Men in Oilve Green’ at Diglipara imparted a training for almost a month where training in terms of evening classes for written test with special emphasis on communication skills were taught to the 10 students of various local schools. Three of them qualified for the written examination and further two qualified the interview and medical examination.
