Arogya Yoga Kendra, Dhing Celebrates 8th Foundation Day and Sports Meet

NAGAON: The 2nd Annual Sports Meet and the 8th foundation day of Arogya Yoga Kendra, Dhing, a unit of Arogya Care Foundation, was celebrated from April 2 to April  4, in collaboration with DCSU Sports Wings, with vibrant participation and enthusiastic performances of students in various events.  The grand event featured competitions in yoga, quiz, speech, race, badminton, carrom, chess, and more, promoting physical and mental wellness.

The programme began with the ceremonial flag hoisting by Dr Jonaram Nath Deb, the president of Arogya Yoga Kendra. The inaugural session of the sports meet was formally opened by Dr Rameswar Kurmi, Assistant Professor, Khagarijan College, who encouraged students to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship and discipline through such events.

The closing ceremony, held on April 4, was marked with equal grandeur. Gubin Bharali, Assistant Professor of Dhing College, inaugurated the final round of events. The function was graced by Jadumoni Chetia, BEEO, Batadrava, as the chief guest, who appreciated the efforts of the organizing team in promoting yoga and fitness among the youth.

Other distinguished guests included Dr Biman Hazarika, Principal, Dhing College; Shravan Kumar Bora, DPM, AYUSH; and Monjurul Hoque, SDE, Dhing ESD. All dignitaries lauded the initiative and encouraged continued focus on holistic development through such wellness programmes.

The event concluded with prize distribution and special recognitions. Sayantika Kuri was awarded the title of Best Player in Yoga, while Niraj Debnath received the prestigious Best of the Best player Award for his all-round performance. The management and staff of Arogya Yoga Kendra expressed gratitude to all participants, guests, and supporters for making the event a grand success.
