BOKAKHAT: The Komargaon Electricity Subdivision Office of Bokakhat co-district announced via a statement that around 15,000 households in approximately 35 villages under its jurisdiction in Golaghat district will be without electricity on Friday night. According to the office’s Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), this disruption is due to the collapse of a 33 kV power line pole at Telgorom in Numaligarh, caused by continuous heavy rain and strong winds.
As a result, nearly 5,000 households in the Numaligarh region, specifically in Telgorom, Bishnupur, Rongbong, Kanaighat, Labanghat, Borchapori, Rajabari, Ponka Deithor, Rongchali, BMP, and Nopathar, will be deprived of power. Additionally, in the Mahura Mouza area, around 2,000 households in Barotal, Riri, Alengmari, Kemeri, Dhansiri Temera, and Bonkuwaal will also be without electricity. On the other hand, under the Khumtai Revenue Circle, about 3,000 households in Nachnipar, Tinichuki Chapori, Bhakat Chapori, and Gosai Chapori will be affected. Moreover, approximately 3,000 households in Khumtai’s Gariyajan, Patiyapathar, Bohupathar, Lixon, Butlikhua, and Gandhigaon will be deprived of electricity on Friday.
