Assam: 62nd Civil Defence Day observed in Tinsukia

At the initiative of the Department of Civil Defence, Tinsukia, the 62nd All India Civil Defence and Home Guards Day was celebrated in Tinsukia District.

DOOMDOOMA: At the initiative of the Department of Civil Defence, Tinsukia, the 62nd All India Civil Defence and Home Guards Day was celebrated in Tinsukia District. An awareness rally from the office of the Tinsukia District Commissioner was inaugurated by the Department of Civil Defence, the Controller of Police, Tinsukia, and District Commissioner (DC) Swapneel Paul.

In his address, he congratulated the volunteers of civil defence and greeted them for serving the society and the people. The District Commissioner also said that the Civil Defence Department was doing important work for the society in a spirit of service. The Civil Defence Department did exemplary work—especially in elections, disaster management, and the municipal department in Tinsukia district, he said.

He called upon them to continue to work more diligently in the coming days. The DC felicitated five officers and employees of the City Defence Department, Tinsukia, on the occasion.
