Assam: 94 Cachar Journalists Honored with Gift of Goodwill from CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

SILCHAR: Ninety four government-recognized journalists from the Cachar district were ceremonially honoured with a Gift of Goodwill from Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today at the conference hall of the District Commissioner’s Office in Silchar.

The event was organized by the regional office of Information & Public Relations, Barak Valley zone. District Commissioner Mridul Yadav graced the occasion as the chief guest and personally handed over the goodwill gifts to the journalists present. Yadav lauded the media fraternity for their dedication to truth and responsible reporting. Deputy Director in-charge of Information and Public Relations, Barak Valley Zone Bonnykha Chetia was also present at the function.

Earlier, addressing the gathering, IC DDIPR & Assistant Commissioner Bonnykha Chetiya also spoke at the function. Several journalists also lauded the step taken by the Chief Minister to acknowledge their work.
