DIBRUGARH: The Assam Badhir Sangram Parishad (ABSP) said that the state government has been opening up schools and health centres in tea garden areas but not doing anything for Divyangjan. ABSP will organize a protest programme in Guwahati on December 3 against their unfulfilled demand. “We have 35 charter of demands for Divyangjan but the state government is not fulfilling our long pending demands. We have organised a protest programme in all over Assam by wearing black badges on November 16 but the government has not prioritized our issues,” said Gautam Bhutan, general secretary of ABSP.
He said, “The state government has turned a blind eye towards our genuine demand. In government jobs the posts are less for Divyangjan. We demand to open more post for Divyangjan,”. “If the Divyangjan is not given priority then how the government slogan of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ will successful. We are trying to draw the attention of the government by organizing the protest programme on December 3 against our 35 charter of demands,” Bhuyan said.
