Assam Actor Diganta Hazarika Plays A Crucial Role In 'Pathaan'

GUWAHATI: Actor and a model from the state of Assam, Diganta Hazarika plays a crucial part in Shahrukh Khan's 'Pathaan'. 

 The movie is set to release on 25th of January, Wednesday in the theatres. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing controversies regarding the film, Diganta's impact in the movie did not come to fore.

Before the release of the most awaited movie, pictures of Diganta Hazarika were seen in the internet where he was posing with Shahrukh Khan and John Abraham.

Apart from YRFs big budget movie Pathaan, the actor has worked in a Bollywood film with Hrithik Roshan called Mohenjo Daro. The movie was released back in 2016, however received a dicey response from the audience.

Diganta Borah has also acted in varied Assamese movies till date. Pathaan can be considered a milestone in Hazarika's acting career. It is not an easy job to get a space in Bollywood.

Hazarika's name has been added along with Adil Hussain, Baharul Islam and few other actors from Assam who successfully won a spot in the world of Bollywood.

Pathaan is continuously on the buzz, days prior to its release because of the controversies created against a song 'Besharam Rang'. Rage and protests have been seen in several parts of the country. In Guwahati's Narengi area, Bajrang Dal activists were seen destroying movie posters amidst widespread protest. 

The Bajrang Dal invaded the Gold Cinema at LG tower in Narengi, to showcase objection against the movie. However, the intensity was less as compared to other areas of the nation. The controversy arrived after release of the song Besharam Rang where lead actress Deepika Padukone is seen wearing a saffron swimsuit. 

This particular movie is Shah Rukh Khan's first motion picture in more than four years. In Ayan Mukherjee's Brahmastra, the actor made the audience go crazy with a cameo appearance in 2022.
