KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) extended its best wishes to all the students preparing to appear for the upcoming High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary (HS) final examinations of Assam scheduled to be held from February 15 to March 3, and HS final examinations from February 13 to March 17 next.
In a statement, President of ABSU Dipen Boro and General Secretary Khanindra Basumatary acknowledged the dedication and hard work of the students. “As these crucial examinations have approached, we encourage all students to remain focused, confident and diligent in their preparation. We also extend our gratitude to the educators, parents, and guardians who have provided unwavering support to the students throughout their academic journey. Your guidance and encouragement have been instrumental in shaping their futures,” they said, adding that the ABSU will remain committed to fostering quality education.
The ABSU appealed to the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) to conduct the forthcoming HSLC and HS final examinations with utmost integrity, ensuring a free, fair, and transparent process and urged the ASSEB to implement comprehensive security protocols, including strict supervision, secure handling of examination materials and prompt redressal mechanisms for any grievances that may arise. Such measures are essential to maintain the credibility of the examination process, safeguard the future of the students and prevent any discouragement that may lead to increase in dropout rates, the statement said and added that the ABSU has consistently raised concerns regarding school dropouts.
As they strive to build a literate and educated society for which it is essential to conduct the examinations with the highest level of care and professionalism, for the constructive advancement and progress of our state and the nation, the statement further said.
Boro and Basumatary also said that the ABSU will remain committed to collaborating with educational authorities to promote a culture of academic excellence and integrity and that they believe that through collective efforts, they will be able to ensure a fair examination environment that reflects the true capabilities of the students.
