KALAIGAON: The two day-long 4th Biennial Central Conference of All BTR Anusuchita Jati Student Union was kicked off at Geruwa near Kalaigaon Town in Udalguri district from Saturday. As a part of the event, students' body members and delegates from various parts of Bodoland Territorial Region gathered from the five districts of Kokrajhar, Baksa, Chirang, Tamulpur, and Udalguri.

The first day started with hoisting of organizational flags in the morning on Saturday which was done by Central Committee President Pradip Sarkar . The main entrance gate of the event was inaugurated by Reception Committee President Indra Kumar Das. The event was formally followed by paying homage to Dr BR Ambedkar and this was initiated by former professor Dhiren Kumar Sarker.

The second day started with a cleanliness drive in the morning on Sunday. After that, a colourful procession was taken out throughout Kalaigaon Town. On the occasion, an open meeting was also held on Sunday which was presided over by Nayayn Sutradhar while Biplob Das was appointed as an anchor for the event. Chief Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Council Pramod Boro took part as the chief guest in this meeting. A cultural programme was also held where artists Phukan Boro and Baby Saha performed. A strong executive committee of 41 members was formed headed by Pradip Sarkar as President and Sujit Das as Secretary for smooth functioning of organizational work.
