BISWANATH CHARIALI: The Biswanath Chariali branch of ‘Aide et Action’, an international NGO, organized an alumni meet at Himalaya Vivah Bhawan on Wednesday. The meet was conducted under the supervision of District Coordinator Atul Rouniar in which around 300 trainees coming from different parts of Biswanath district took part.
The event was moderated by Sanjana Horo while it was attended by District Project Officer Shantanu Gogoi, Manager, Livelihood Projects of ‘Aide et Action’ Meren Nampui, former field officer Jiten Sarania, senior Journalist Niranjan Hazarika, and others.
It needs to be mentioned here that the NGO provides training in various trades including electrician, beauty and wellness, fashion designing and tailoring, etc. in Biswanath. About 2600 trainees have received training in various categories through this programme so far and among them, as many as 900 trainees were employed in various fields. The programme was also attended by Bhanushree Dihingia, Karabi Bania, Mayur Pratim Goswami, Babita Borthakur, Amar Nayak, and others.
