Assam: Another Amritpal Singh aid taken to Punjab from Dibrugarh jail

DIBRUGARH: Varinder Singh Johal alias Fauji, an aid of Amritpal Singh was taken back to Punjab from the Central Jail, Dibrugarh on Wednesday. He was shifted to Dibrugarh Central from Punjab on March 27, 2023 under NSA. Varinder Singh was an ex-servicemen and bodyguard of Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh. He was  taken to public carrier flight.

A six member Punjab Police team reached Dibrugarh on March 24, 2025 and completed  the legal formalities for the deportation of Varinder.

On March 20, 2025 all seven aides of Amritpal Singh were taken to Punjab from Dibrugarh Airport after they were handed over to Punjab police. The whole process of transferring of the seven aides of Amritpal Singh’s was completed on March 19.

The transferring seven accused include Daljit Singh Kalsi, Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, Gurmeet Singh Bukkanwala, Harjit Singh, Bhagwant Singh alias  Pradhan Mantri Bajeke), Basant Singh, and Gurinderpal Singh.
