Assam: Apratim Nag takes charge as new Cachar College Principal

SILCHAR: Dr Apratim Nag has been appointed as the new Principal of Cachar College. Pomi Baruah, the Director of Higher Education in an order appointed Dr Nag as the Principal of Cachar College for five terms. Nag was the in-charge Principal of Guru Charan College, the premiere institute which had recently been upgraded to a state university. Prof Niranjan Roy of Assam University, who was appointed as the first Vice-Chancellor of the Guru Charan (GC) University, took oath on Friday at Raj Bhawan in Guwahati. Sources said that he would assume his charge on July 28.

Meanwhile, Apratim Nag, son of famed journalist of the state, Late Amit Nag, said that he was happy and would offer his best for the overall development of the prestigious institute he had been assigned to.
