JAMUGURIHAT: The audit report of the year-long centenary celebration and closing ceremony of Jamuguri HSS which was held with a four-day programme from January 4 to 7 was submitted on Wednesday at the conference hall of the school with Sootea MLA cum President of the celebration committee in the chair. Public auditors Apurba Bhattacharya and Jyoti Hazarika presented the audit report of the centenary celebration. As per the report, a total of Rs 35 lakh has been exhausted while an amount of Rs 65,000 has been surplussed besides Rs 8 lakhs unpaid amount. Working President Janardan Bhuyan, Dharanidhar Das, and Bikash Bora, besides others, expressed their opinions on the audit report. A resolution to utilize the surplus amount in infrastructure development was passed. The meeting also thanked Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Minister Pabitra Margherita for their financial grant. Jiban Bora, Principal cum Secretary of centenary celebration committee conducted the proceedings.
