Assam: Bir Raghab Moran Government Model College Celebrates 5th Foundation Day

DOOMDOOMA: Bir Raghab Moran Government Model (BRMGM) College celebrated its 5th Foundation Day with a series of meaningful events held on Thursday. The celebration began with the ceremonial hoisting of the flag by Principal Dr. Amorjit Saikia, followed by a meeting chaired by senior journalist Dhiren Deka.

The programme featured a chorus presentation by students and an address by Dr. Saikia, who outlined the objectives of the gathering. A highlight of the day was the inauguration of the fifth issue of the college newsletter, unveiled by Dhiren Deka.

Marking a significant academic development, noted historian Shrikumar Dahotia was formally appointed as Professor of Practice. The appointment letter was handed over by Prabhat Sarma, a Dibrugarh University-nominated member of the college Governing Body, who also addressed the gathering.

In his address, Dahotia encouraged students to delve into the local history and assured them of his support in such pursuits. The event concluded with the inauguration of newly constructed girls’ toilet facilities and a renovated college canteen by Prabhat Sarma and Dahotia, respectively.
