Assam: BJP Burns MLA Nurul Huda’s Effigy in Silchar

SILCHAR: The SC cell of Cachar BJP staged a massive protest against the alleged assault on Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly Dr Nomal Momin by Congress MLA Nurul Huda. The ruling party cadres led by District President Rupam Saha brought out a rally which culminated with sloganeering and burning of the effigy of Huda near the Kshudoliram Statue, a few yards from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. The BJP cadres shouted slogans against Huda and demanded the strictest action against the Congress MLA who allegedly manhandled Momin on Monday inside the Assembly premises.
