Morigaon: With just six days left for the panchayat elections, the election campaigns by candidates from both the ruling and opposition parties are in full swing. Like in other parts of the state, the campaign for the 14th Jagibhakatgaon Anchalik Panchayat (AP) seat has gained momentum, with candidates making all-out efforts to woo voters.
Both the ruling party and the opposition have adopted aggressive campaign strategies to secure the AP seat. Kalpana Devi, the BJP’s nominated candidate, is contesting against Congress candidate Subhadra Deka. While both candidates have intensified their campaigns, reports suggest that the BJP’s Kalpana Devi is receiving overwhelming support in the 14th Jagibhakatgaon area.
It is worth mentioning that the BJP candidate is confident of securing 90 percent of the total 8,267 votes in the constituency.
