DHUBRI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took out a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ procession across 10 Mandals under Dhubri district, despite adverse weather conditions on Wednesday. In the procession, the participants held the national flag in their hands and chanted slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai.’
The eleven Mandals where the yatra was conducted are Halakura, Agomani, Golakganj, Gauripur, Jhagrarpar, Dharamshala, Dhubri Town, Alokjhari, Rupshi, Matiabag, and Mahamaya.
The district in-charges assigned to each Mandal were present at their respective locations and along with them, various office-bearers from the district and Mandal committees, as well as members from BJP’s Yuva Morcha (youth wing), Mahila Morcha (women’s wing), Kisan Morcha (farmers’ wing), OBC Morcha, SC Morcha, and Minority Morcha also attended the programme.
At the Gauripur Mandal programme, former MLA of the Golakganj constituency, Ashwini Roy Sarkar inaugurated the Tiranga Yatra and remarked that such a yatra instilled patriotism and a sense of brotherhood among the people. He emphasized that it awakened a sense of national pride and responsibility towards the national flag and the country, particularly among the new generation.
Dhubri District BJP President Ranjit Kumar Roy, also present at the event, stated that the future generation must grow up with a sense of dedication and responsibility towards the nation and be involved in the service of the country.
He stressed that national service was a sacred duty for which every responsible citizen must step forward unitedly. He appealed to everyone to come forward with enthusiasm to celebrate the upcoming 79th Independence Day.
