SILCHAR: In the backdrop of high temperatures recorded across Cachar for the last few days, the district administration of Cachar rescheduled the school timing as a preventive measure for the wellbeing of the students. Earlier in the day, Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu urged all the deputy commissioners to consider the rescheduling of school timings in their respective districts in the backdrop of high temperatures.
Following this, the Cachar district administration, in an order, asked all the government and private schools to follow the rescheduled timing from June 11. This change was aimed at minimizing student exposure to extreme heat during peak hours and ensuring a more conducive learning environment during early morning hours when temperatures were relatively lower. As per the new schedule, the timings for Lower Primary (LP) Schools would be 7:30 am to 12:15 pm, for Upper Primary (UP) Schools 7:30 am to 12:45 pm, and for High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools 7:30 am to 1:15 pm.
