
SILCHAR: In view of the upcoming NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) examination scheduled to be held on Sunday , May 4, the district administration of Cachar has undertaken rigorous preparations to ensure its smooth and successful conduct. District Commissioner Mridul Yadav, chaired a high-level review meeting on Saturday at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Silchar, to assess the readiness of the administrative and security arrangements in place.
The meeting witnessed the participation of the Superintendent of Police, Cachar, the Centre In-Charges of all seven designated examination centres, and observers from the National Testing Agency (NTA). During the deliberations, the District Commissioner underscored the importance of maintaining transparency, orderliness, and strict adherence to protocols to facilitate a seamless examination experience for all candidates. The District Commissioner urged all stakeholders to coordinate effectively and leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the examination is conducted in a fair, peaceful, and glitch-free manner. Emphasis was laid on maintaining the sanctity of the examination process and providing adequate support to candidates, especially in terms of access, security, and logistics.
Adding further significance to the meeting, the Government of Assam-appointed Observers— M.N. Dahal, Meenakshi Das Nath; and Alakananda Medhi,were also present. Their presence and insights further strengthened the strategic planning and operational framework for the conduct of NEET 2025 across Cachar district. The Cachar district administration reaffirms its commitment to upholding the integrity of the examination process and extending full support to all concerned for the successful execution of this nationally significant academic event, stated a press release.
