BOKAKHAT: The Department of Economics at Government Adarsha College, Deithor, in collaboration with the Counselling and Placement Cell, recently organized a one-day workshop titled ‘Career Counselling’ for students of recently completed Class 10 and 12, along with their parents. The objective of the workshop was to provide guidance on the opportunities and directions in the academic and career fields amid evolving circumstances. Dr Deepak Kumar Bora, Principal of the college, delivered the welcome address. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of career planning in the present day and encouraged students to make good use of the guidance received from the workshop.
Dr Neelakshi Sharma, Librarian of the college, delivered a lecture on ‘Career Exploration and Understanding Current Academic Trends.’ In her session, she informed students about the efforts and academic streams they need to focus on to progress in the current educational scenario.
Following this, Dr Debajit Bhuyan, Assistant Professor of the Economics Department, delivered a lecture on ‘Various Programmes in Different Higher Institutes and Specific Academic Fields,’ providing students with insights into the opportunities available across various higher educational institutions and academic fields.
A total of 24 students and parents from various schools participated in the workshop. Dr Brajen Sharma, Assistant Professor of the Assamese Department, offered the vote of thanks and encouraged students to work hard and remain dedicated in building a successful future.
