JAMUGURIHAT: A total of 17 meritorious students who have passed the recently declared HS final examinations were accorded felicitation by Chatia Senior Secondary School today at a function held in the conference hall of the school.
A total of 187 students have appeared in the final year examination, out of this 174 students have passed the examination this year with 93.05 pass percentage. The felicitation programme was held with Jiban Bora, president of the SMDC in the chair.
Dipali Bora, principal of the senior secondary school explained the objectives. The programme began with illumination of a ceremonial lamp by Rinju Bora which was graced by Pradip Medhi, retired principal as a chief guest. The meritorious students were felicitated with citation, gamosa, a packet of books by the school authority. The meeting was addressed by Narayan Khatiwora, senior lecturer of the senior secondary school. Tek Bahadur Chetry, a fourth grade employee of the school was accorded a farewell bid by the school authority. The meeting was attended by teachers, parents and guardians.
